Bibb County Sheriff seeks public help after New Year’s Eve armed robbery

Deputies from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office are asking for assistance in identifying a suspect involved in an armed robbery at a Macon clothing store on New Year’s Eve. The incident occurred before 6:30 p.m. at Citi Trends, located at 3880 Pio Nono Avenue.

According to the sheriff’s office, a masked individual entered the store and demanded money. “The suspect fled the business with an undisclosed amount of cash,” deputies said in a news release. Surveillance images released by authorities show the suspect wearing a black hooded jacket with “USA” on the front and dark pants.

No injuries were reported during the incident.

“Anyone with information about this incident or knows the identity of the suspect is urged to contact the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500 or the Macon Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-877-68CRIME,” deputies said in a news release.
