A large group of shoppers gathered early Friday morning for the opening of BJ’s Wholesale Club in Warner Robins. The line, which began forming at 6:30 a.m., extended across the front of the new 104,170-square-foot store and wrapped around to its tire and propane service area by the time doors opened at 8 a.m.

BJ’s has been a requested addition to Warner Robins for years, following feedback from local residents. The company advertises savings of up to 25% on grocery items such as fresh produce, meats, cheeses, baked goods, and more compared to traditional grocery stores.

As members entered the club after it opened, they were greeted by enthusiastic employees. A staff member in a red BJ’s T-shirt encouraged customers in line with “Everybody get fired up.”

The club is located at 6201 Watson Blvd., on nearly 21 acres annexed by Warner Robins in Peach County. The parking lot includes 582 spaces—12 designated as handicap spots—and most are within close proximity to the building.

Shoppers have access to fuel services through BJ’s Gas at this location or other BJ’s gas stations. Members can use programs like BJ’s Fuel Saver Program for discounts. On opening day, regular unleaded gas was priced at $2.44 per gallon for members; those with a BJ’s One+Mastercard paid $2.29 per gallon.

In addition to groceries and fuel, the Warner Robins club offers optical services, tire service, apparel and footwear sections, bakery and deli counters, beer and wine sales, household essentials, home decor items, pet supplies, toys, electronics and Georgia lottery tickets.

On Thursday before the opening event, Mayor LaRhonda Patrick of Warner Robins joined Peach County Commission Chairman Martin Moseley and Stacey Ann King—the new club manager—for a ribbon-cutting ceremony along with other representatives from BJ’s.

This is Middle Georgia’s first BJ’s location and seventh in Georgia; others operate in Conyers, Cumming, East Point, McDonough, Newnan and Woodstock. Sam’s Club remains another wholesale option nearby in Macon.

BJ’s Wholesale Club is based in Marlborough, Massachusetts and currently runs 255 clubs along with 190 gas locations across 21 states.

The Warner Robins club will be open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday; Sunday hours are from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Gas station hours begin earlier each day at 6:30 a.m., closing between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m., depending on the day.

Optical services are available Monday through Friday from 10 a.m.–6 p.m.; Saturdays from 9 a.m.–6 p.m.; Sundays noon–5 p.m. Tire service operates Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m.–6 p.m., Sunday from 9 a.m.–4 p.m.

A new traffic signal at the main entrance off Watson Boulevard is expected to become operational Wednesday; an additional entrance near the gas pumps serves eastbound drivers on Watson Boulevard.
