Bobby Bones, host of “The Bobby Bones Show,” announced on Instagram that he and his wife Caitlin Parker are expecting their first child in 2026. In the announcement posted on September 24, Bones is pictured with his hands on Parker’s baby bump as she takes a mirror selfie. He captioned the post with a baby emoji and a red heart emoji. Both shared the news through their Instagram Stories, with Bones writing “Away we go!” and Parker adding “Parents.”
On his radio show, Bones discussed how they decided to share the news. He joked about keeping it secret until after the birth but said Parker did not want to hide it for nine months. He also considered making a humorous announcement but said Parker preferred a straightforward approach. The couple ultimately made the decision after an interview with Clint Black when Parker told him, “You can go ahead and post it, I’m ready for it to be said,” according to “The Bobby Bones Show.”
Bones mentioned he had been dropping subtle hints about the pregnancy during recent broadcasts. On September 18, he and his colleagues discussed potential baby names inspired by social media influencers. While dismissing names like Stormi or Saint, Bones expressed support for unisex names such as Charlie and Rowan.
During a segment aired on September 23 about disciplining children, Bones commented: “I think eventually we’ll have kids.” Now that the news is public, many friends and fellow country music figures congratulated the couple online.
Amy Brown, co-host of “The Bobby Bones Show,” wrote under the announcement photo: “Double tap x 1000000000 cannot wait to hold this precious baby. will babysit. for free.” Producer Eddie Garcia asked for clarification in another comment.
Country music artist Jelly Roll commented: “Man this is absolutely awesome – brother – you are going to be an incredible father . Welcome to the Goood Dad Gang.” Other celebrities who left messages include Sharna Burgess, Cole Swindell, Russell Dickerson, Hillary Scott, Brandon Ray, Lina Bryan, Brantley Gilbert, Jason Aldean, Lauren Lane and Lionel Richie.
Bones and Parker met at the Season 28 premiere of “Dancing with the Stars” in 2019 after Bones had won on the show’s previous season. They began dating soon after connecting on social media. A year later in October 2020, Bones proposed at their backyard barn; they married in July 2021.
Bones said on his show that he is not nervous yet about becoming a father but is focused on supporting Parker through early pregnancy symptoms. He stated: “She’s doing all the work. I just get to be here,” adding that he once thought fatherhood was unlikely because he grew up without a dad.
Additionally, Coach Barry Odom at Purdue has offered their future child a spot on his team regardless of gender due to friendship with Bones—a gesture noted during “The Bobby Bones Show.” According to reports from his show staff, if their child inherits athletic ability from Parker’s family background in sports then “it’s on.”
