A ranch located in Gypsum, Colorado, is drawing attention for its unique combination of mountain seclusion and art installations from the Burning Man festival. The Royal Elk Ranch, which covers 2,017 acres, is listed for sale at $14 million.
According to a news release about the property, “Asking $14 million, this extraordinary holding redefines mountain living by blending high-end seclusion with counter-cultural artistic freedom.” The ranch offers private ski runs and year-round recreational activities. It also features off-grid accommodations and original art installations that have been displayed at Burning Man.
The annual Burning Man event is known for its large-scale art projects and community atmosphere in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert. Some of these artworks are present on the Royal Elk Ranch. While the installations are not included in the base sale price, they can be negotiated as part of the purchase, according to the listing by Hall and Hall.
The property is described as having various amenities, but the main attraction is its ski runs. “At the core of the property are the ranch’s ski runs, which begin on ridge tops and descend through aspen and oak-covered slopes. The lower eastern elevations of the property are a balance of open meadow, aspen stands and oak forest,” states the listing.
Cody Lujan holds the listing for Royal Elk Ranch. Gypsum is situated about 65 miles north of Aspen.
