Two young fans attending a Detroit Lions game at Ford Field experienced a memorable moment during the matchup against the Chicago Bears. The Raznick family, seated in the “Lions Leap Zone,” became part of a touchdown celebration that quickly gained attention.
During the game, wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown scored his third touchdown and pointed directly at the Raznick family. “When he scored the touchdown, he pointed at us and I’m like ‘oh my God. Is this really happening?’” said 9-year-old Aria Raznick, who attended with her older brother Josh and their father Jason, according to WXYZ.
A video captured St. Brown celebrating with the family as he jumped into their section of the stands. Quarterback Jared Goff also attempted to join in on the celebration but had some difficulty reaching the fans. “I wanted to get up there because I’ve seen it for years now. I wanted to get in the Lions Leap Zone and I’m like all right, this is my chance, and like… bad,” Goff explained during a post-game news conference.
With assistance from fans and St. Brown, Goff managed to climb up but slipped during the attempt. The footage was later shared widely on social media platforms by ESPN and other outlets.
The Lions dominated the Bears with a 52-21 victory, scoring five touchdowns overall. Goff passed for 334 yards while St. Brown achieved a career high with three touchdowns, as reported by ESPN.
