Former San Francisco Giants outfielder Hunter Pence has put his custom Malibu estate on the market for $39 million. The five-bedroom, seven-bathroom home spans 7,356 square feet and features a mid-century modern design.
Pence, who is now a sports broadcaster and an on-air analyst for the Giants on NBC Sports Bay Area, said he was attracted to Malibu for its tranquility. “Malibu’s surf, energy, and the sense of peace drew me to this location. Building this home was all about creating a private retreat where my family could slow down, recharge, and enjoy everything this community has to offer,” Pence said.
The property includes high-end amenities such as an outdoor fire pit, kitchen, and walk-up bar. Pence purchased the estate in 2016 after winning his second World Series title with the Giants in 2014. He described it as a “family retreat.”
“My hope is that whoever steps into it, makes their own unforgettable memories here,” Pence said.
Known for his energetic playing style and passionate pre-game speeches that earned him the nickname “The Reverend,” Pence retired from professional baseball in 2021. Over his career, he posted a .279 batting average with 244 home runs and 942 RBIs.
