More than 3,200 members of IAM Union District 837 at Boeing Defense in St. Louis are set to vote on a revised contract offer from the company on Sunday, August 3, starting at 10 a.m. Central Time. If union members reject the new proposal, a strike is scheduled to begin at midnight on Monday, August 4.
The modified contract includes several changes from Boeing’s previous offer. The company has withdrawn its Alternative Workweek Schedule (AWS) proposal, meaning current overtime policies will remain as they are. Employees who have reached the maximum pay rate would receive an additional annual increase of 50 cents per hour. For pension-eligible workers, the updated offer provides a full $10 pension multiplier increase in the first year for those retiring after January 1, 2026; previously, this increase was to be phased in over three years.
Other aspects of Boeing’s proposed agreement remain unchanged. These include a proposed 20% wage increase over the life of the contract, a $5,000 ratification bonus, and no modifications to vacation or sick leave policies or healthcare benefits.
This upcoming vote follows an earlier rejection by union members of Boeing’s initial proposal on July 27.
