The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) has announced the opening of its 2026 IAM Scholarship Competition. Applications will be accepted online from October 1, 2025, until February 6, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. ET. The competition is available to IAM members with at least two years of continuous service and their children who are current high school seniors in the United States and Canada.

Applicants can access the application forms, rules, and further information on the IAM Scholarship Competition page. The official call for applications is also available in English and French.

In the previous year, more than 300 applicants participated in the competition. Sixteen scholarships were awarded to members and their children, each valued at $4,000 per student. The program includes a vocational-technical two-year scholarship option as part of its awards.

The IAM Scholarship Fund was created by delegates at the 1960 IAM Grand Lodge Convention to support these awards.

More details about eligibility and how to apply can be found on the IAM Scholarship website.

“IAM” stands for International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers.
