The 2025 IAM International President’s Classic golf tournament, held at Fox Ridge Golf Club in Auburn, Maine, has raised over $150,000 for the Maine Museum of Innovation, Learning and Labor (Maine MILL). The event brought together members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM), labor allies, and supporters from across North America.

IAM International President Brian Bryant emphasized the importance of the event. “This event is about honoring the history of working people and giving back to the communities that raised us,” said Bryant. “Supporting Maine MILL means preserving the stories of the working class. As someone who grew up in Maine, this cause is close to my heart, and I couldn’t be prouder of what we accomplished together.”

Dozens of teams participated in the charity tournament. The day included raffles, giveaways, and remarks from both IAM Union and Maine MILL leadership. The fundraising will support Maine MILL’s ongoing rehabilitation of its former Camden Yarns Mill location in Lewiston. The new facility aims to serve as a permanent home for the museum with expanded spaces for exhibitions, education, and community engagement.

Rachel Ferrante, Executive Director of Maine MILL, expressed gratitude for the union’s involvement. “This incredible show of support from International President Bryant and the IAM Union will help us continue preserving and celebrating the legacy of Maine’s workers,” said Ferrante. “We’re so grateful to everyone who participated and donated. Your generosity is making history.”

Construction on Maine MILL’s new site has already started, with an opening planned for summer 2026. The updated museum will include space for permanent collections and temporary galleries, as well as classrooms and a design lab aimed at encouraging learning among visitors.

More than 50 organizations sponsored holes at the tournament. Gold sponsors included various IAM offices such as the International President’s Office, Eastern Territory, District 4, Local S6; Jones Granger Law Firm; and Employee Benefit Systems Inc. Silver sponsors featured additional IAM territories and locals along with other corporate partners.
