The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) announced on Apr. 7 that registration is now open for the upcoming Retirees Assistance Program, which will take place from June 14 to June 19, 2026, at the William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center in Hollywood, Maryland.

The program aims to provide IAM retirees with essential knowledge and resources to help them address challenges they may face during retirement. The sessions are intended to offer support in various aspects of retired life.

Participants will have access to educational sessions covering topics such as elder abuse awareness, mental health, self-care strategies, senior addiction issues, navigating healthcare systems, and volunteer opportunities. The program also includes courses on community resource navigation, dementia awareness education, financial planning and asset protection advice, considerations for senior housing options, preparation tips for doctor visits, sensitivity training modules, and information about advance directives.

Details regarding tuition costs, transportation arrangements and curriculum structure are included in the official call letter released by IAM policy guidelines.

This initiative reflects ongoing efforts by the IAM Retirees and Membership Assistance Department to support its members through targeted education programs.
