A European castle-inspired estate located at 2928 Coast Line Ct, eight miles west of the Las Vegas Strip, has been listed for sale at $28 million. The 12,720-square-foot home is situated on Lake Sahara and features a design that combines traditional and modern elements.

Zoltan Bathory, owner of the property and member of the band Five Finger Death Punch, worked with architect Michael Murphy of Blue Heron to renovate the residence. According to a news release about the home, “The owner, Zoltan Bathory of Five Finger Death Punch, spent years transforming the residence with architect Michael Murphy of Blue Heron, blending Old-World texture with modern clarity. The exterior keeps its Old World silhouette. Inside, volumes open to the sky, stone meets steel and sight lines cut through rooms to the lake.”

The renovation aimed to maintain the castle’s original character while updating it for contemporary living standards. As described in the release: “Think wrought iron notes, warm brass detailing, carved woods and mineral textures that echo stone—layered with tailored upholstery and softened lighting so the home feels collected rather than themed. The palette stays quiet so the architecture is the focus.”

Bathory explained that completing the project took much longer than expected due to its evolving scope. “It started like, it’s gonna take me a year. And it became six,” Bathory noted. “It was an architectural improvisation, and the plan became more and more and more ambitious. And then I started to even import old pieces from Europe. The fireplace is actually 400 years old, and the gate outside is from a 15th-century castle.”

The five-bedroom, eight-bathroom house emphasizes light throughout most areas except for one specific room. Bathory said: “The requirement was that everything has to be light. The only place we kept dark was the cigar room—you would call it the library—because that’s the vibe of that. The rest of the house is pretty much glass, steel and limestone.”
