Macon authorities investigate fatal shooting on Harrison Road

Deputies from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in Macon on Sunday morning.

Authorities responded to a call in the 6000 block of Harrison Road just before 9:30 a.m. Upon arrival, officers found a male victim with a gunshot wound.

“Paramedics arrived on scene and transported the victim to a medical facility for treatment of his injury,” the sheriff’s office said in a news release.

Chief Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley, representing the Bibb County Coroner’s Office, reported that the victim later died from his injuries. The deceased was identified as Nelson Reynolds Crenshaw, aged 46, from Fort Valley.
