A man has been charged with murder following the death of a woman in Warner Robins, police said Wednesday. Officers responded to a welfare check at about 7 a.m. at a residence on the 100 block of Kay Drive.
According to Warner Robins police, the incident was related to family violence. Upon arrival, officers found Krystal Gilbert, 34, dead inside the home. Brandon Diaz, 31, was also present and described as “unresponsive” when police arrived.
Police identified Diaz as the only suspect in the case. He was taken into custody and charged with felony murder and aggravated assault.
The house remained taped off by crime scene investigators Wednesday afternoon as authorities continued their investigation.
