A 28-year-old man has been reported missing after his vehicle broke down during a road trip, according to police in Arizona.

Flagstaff police stated in a Facebook post on September 9 that Mathew Spencer, whose last known address was in Spanaway, Washington, was traveling from Las Vegas to Houston. Authorities said Spencer’s silver Hyundai Tucson with Washington license plate CJM2235 was seen in Flagstaff on August 5.

Spencer’s family last had contact with him on August 6. Police said his car reportedly broke down somewhere between Bellemont and Williams, two locations situated west of Flagstaff.

Flagstaff is located about 140 miles northeast of Phoenix.

Anyone with information about Spencer’s whereabouts is asked to call 928-774-4523, according to police.
