The National Federation of Federal Employees (NFFE-IAM) held a union training session for 35 members of the Forest Service Council. The focus was on intermediate stewardship, aiming to improve members’ understanding and abilities in areas such as contract interpretation and grievance writing.

Jon Mikkelson, Secretary-Treasurer of the council, stated that participants attended specialized workshops designed to enhance their skills in these areas. “Participants engage in specialized workshops to improve their skills in contract interpretation and in the formal grievance writing process,” said Mikkelson.

This training is part of NFFE-IAM’s ongoing efforts to support its members by offering professional development opportunities tailored to workplace representation needs.
