Police in Piedmont, Oklahoma recently rescued a fawn that had become trapped in a fence, according to a video shared by the Piedmont Police Department. Officers responded to a call in a rural area and managed to free the young deer.

The department posted on Facebook about the incident, stating: “When you finally get free… but freedom is confusing.” The post explained, “This little fawn was stuck in a fence. Once we cut him loose, he took off like lightning — straight into a bucket!”

The video shows the fawn initially running away quickly after being freed, only to immediately run into another obstacle—a nearby bucket. The police commented further, “Sometimes it takes a second to get your bearings after being stuck.”

Piedmont is located roughly 25 miles northwest of Oklahoma City.

The department expressed hope that the fawn is now safe and able to avoid future mishaps with fences and buckets.
