Officers from the Warner Robins Police Department found a woman dead and a man unresponsive in a home on Kay Drive during a welfare check early Wednesday morning. The incident occurred after 7 a.m. in a neighborhood near Watson Boulevard, according to a news release from the department.

Police said they entered the residence and discovered the woman “on the floor.” Her name has not been released, but she was described as a victim. The man was located inside a bedroom, unresponsive, and transported to a local hospital. His condition was not known by late morning. Authorities identified him as an “involved/other” party rather than as a suspect.

The Criminal Investigations Division responded to investigate the scene. Lt. Patrick Allen stated that the case is being treated as a “death investigation.”

Allen encouraged anyone with information related to the case to contact Detective Conner Milam at 478-302-5380 or Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.

Both Allen and city clerk Mandy Stella declined to provide further details about the welfare check or identities of those involved, citing the ongoing nature of the investigation.

“This investigation is at its early stages and no other information at this time is going to be released until an update is provided at a later time,” Allen told The Telegraph in an email.

Detective Milam did not respond to requests for comment from The Telegraph.
