Shooting in Perry leaves one injured; suspect arrested on felony charges

A person was injured and a suspect arrested after a shooting on Figston Run in Perry Sunday night, according to the Perry Police Department. Officers responded to a report of a shooting just before 7 p.m. in the 100 block of Figston Run, where they found an injured victim. Emergency Medical Services transported the individual to a hospital for treatment. The condition of the victim was not available as of Monday.

Police identified Alec Bloodworth, 22, as the suspect taken into custody. He faces charges of aggravated assault and possession of a gun during the commission of a felony.

“This incident is believed to be domestic-related,” the police department said in their news release. “There is no ongoing threat to the public at this time.”
