Spirit Halloween stores are beginning to open across Georgia as fall approaches. The pop-up retailer, which started in the early 1980s as part of Spencer Gifts, has become a recurring presence each autumn. Known for selling costumes, decorations, and Halloween-themed items, Spirit Halloween is often seen as marking the start of the season.

The first round of store openings began nationally in August, with several locations already operating in Georgia. The chain’s annual return has generated cultural references including memes and a feature-length movie.

Shoppers can expect to find a range of products from costumes to animatronic decorations at these temporary stores. The opening of Spirit Halloween locations signals the countdown to October 31 for many fans.
