Teenager hospitalized after shooting on Shurling Drive in Macon

A 17-year-old was hospitalized in critical condition after a shooting incident in Macon, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office. The authorities reported that they received a call about the shooting at 3:40 p.m. on Friday, with the event taking place in the 800 block of Shurling Drive.

Deputies arrived at the scene and found the teenager with a gunshot wound. Emergency responders transported him by ambulance to a local hospital.

“According to medical staff, the victim is currently listed in critical condition,” the sheriff’s office said.
