Two men have been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of Ahmad Shahid Roberts at a Shell gas station on South Heron Street in Macon, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office. The incident occurred Thursday and resulted in the death of 27-year-old Roberts.

The sheriff’s office reported that Malik Harris, 28, was apprehended at Riverbend Apartments on Mercer University Drive. Harris has been charged with murder for this case and is also facing charges in an unrelated homicide. Authorities stated, “Early Friday morning, the sheriff’s office clarified that Harris had been wanted in connection to the death of 26-year-old Travon Maurice Harden, who was shot at the Economy Hotel on Pio Nono Avenue on Dec. 23.”

Harris is also being charged with battery involving family violence. It remains unclear if this charge is related to either shooting.

A second suspect, Desmond Dewayne Hill, 25, was also detained by deputies at Riverbend Apartments. Hill suffered a gunshot wound during the Shell gas station incident and was transported by ambulance for medical treatment before being taken to jail and charged with murder.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office did not immediately respond to requests from The Telegraph for additional information.
