The U.S. Census Bureau has released the 2023 Business Dynamics Statistics (BDS), offering new data on key business activities such as job creation, job destruction, establishment births and deaths, and firm startups and shutdowns. This annual series now covers the period from 1978 through 2023.

The BDS dataset is available for public use through multiple platforms including the BDS website, the Census API, and BDS Explorer. The BDS Explorer tool provides users with interactive options to visualize data using line charts, bar charts, and thematic maps. Its dashboard allows for customized tables and chart comparisons of business dynamics measures.

For more information or to access the datasets, users are encouraged to visit the BDS page or utilize BDS Explorer.
